Litehouse offers a complete water analysis. We recommend that you bring us a water sample bi-weekly for this free service, or anytime you have a problem and desire further assistance. Our testing provides you with accurate and thorough information. We will provide you with a detailed summary of all tests, and give you full instruction on how and when to add each chemical. To give you the best test results we recommend you provide us with a minimum of 6 ounces – the more the better – 12 to 16 ounces would be ideal. Know the pool size and filtration type. Take the sample one to two feet deep into the water, not at the surface. Please do not leave the sample in your car; it should be not older than one hour for best results. Take a brief inventory of the chemicals you have at home. Examine the pool. How does it look? If there is a problem, please provide us with a good description of the situation.

Some of the tests we offer are:

• Sanitizer tests – This includes ALL forms of sanitizers, from chlorine and bromine to mineral systems and bacquacil.
• pH – This is an important chemical to ensure your sanitizer works properly.
• Alkalinity – This controls your system and when in proper range, it helps keep the system in check.
• Calcium – Ensures the chemistry is not corrosive or pitting. Especially important if you have a heater.
• Stabilizer – Helps keep your sanitizers working under harsh conditions.

We also offer more specific testing:

• Phosphates – To eliminate algae food. Helps keep pool clear.
• Copper – Can turn hair green. Important if you have a heater.
• Iron and other metals – These can cause staining. Commonly from well water.
• Proteam Supreme – An additive that provides soft, clean pool water.
